Guided Hike: Monte Sano Plant Identification

(2 hours / Moderate / 1.5 miles) Finish off your weekend with an adventure on Monte Sano Mountain with naturalist Matt Shaw of Ecologic Solutions. Enjoy the beautiful sights of Old Railroad Bed Trail while stopping along the way to explore the natural wonders of Alabama forest biodiversity.
Location: Monte Sano Nature Preserve (Bankhead Trailhead) – 2442 Bankhead Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35801
Event Details: RESERVATION IS REQUIRED. Land Trust Members-only registration until January 8. Sign up at the link provided. Space is limited to ensure quality and safety. There is no waitlist. We intentionally overbook to account for cancellations but if spots become available we’ll reopen the registration link on this page. We have reduced capacity for all hikes to ensure a safe environment for all participants and face coverings are required when 6ft distancing is not possible. Please register by 5 PM on Friday before weekend hikes.
