Spring Break Pop-up Hike: Chapman Mountain

Monday, March 13 – Friday, March 17 is the week of Spring Break for most of our local school systems so we’re offering a series of Pop-Up Hikes. These easy to moderate hikes will be appropriate for mid-elementary-age hikers as well as older kids and adults and are led by Land Trust staff featuring a variety of nature preserves.
(Easy / Around 1 hour / 1.3 miles) Let’s take a walk at the Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve! At just over a mile long, this hike will cover the “low trails” of the preserve. We’ll start at the pavilion and take Moonshine Trail north to Driskell Trail. We’ll follow it around the disc golf course until we reach Chasco Trail. Then walk Chasco Trail finishing up our walk with a short section of Driskell Trail that leads back to the pavilion. For better or worse, there are virtually no hills on this trail, making it an easy walk through the woods.
