Birding Workshop

We’ve recently been awarded a grant from The Cornell Lab of Ornithology to fund the creation of a bird habitat and education site at Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve.  Spend a morning with our partners from Tennessee Valley Audubon Society, North Alabama Birding Society, and Alabama A&M University for a discussion of wildlife habitats, bird identification, and use of eBird for recording data. We recommend downloading the eBird and Merlin apps prior to attending.

9 AM: Optional Hike – Join us before the program begins if you’re interested in experiencing birding in the field.
10 AM – 12 PM: Birding Workshop at Terry Education Pavilion
