Enjoy the sights of Autumn on Wade Mountain as Botanist Lynne Weninegar points out how cooler temperatures affect the many beautiful plant species native to this semi-arid microclimate.
Location: Wade Mountain Nature Preserve (Spragins Hollow Road Trailhead) – 10130 Spragins Hollow Road, Huntsville, AL 35810
2018 Fall Hike and Adventure Series
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation at landtrustnal.org or on the Land Trust of North Alabama Facebook Page (@landtrustnal).
