Pop-Up Hike: Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve

(Moderate / 1.5 hours / approximately 1 mile)  Join us on Rainbow Mountain for a short hike with hike leader Ashlynn Theno.  This hike will start with us heading east on the Rainbow Mountain Loop Trail.  We’ll leave it after a short distance for the Wild Trail, which we’ll hike until it reconnects with the Loop Trail on the west side of the preserve.  We’ll take the Rainbow Mountain Loop Trail to the Balance Rock Trail, with a short detour to the Rock Garden.  After seeing Balance Rock, we’ll head back to the parking lot.  This hike is appropriate for elementary-age hikers.  The winter forest is a special place for looking at the little things, so come prepared with a camera and an eye for the details.
